My Internetz Was Eaten

Typically, I type up my Monday post on Sunday. Because Sunday is a day full of nothing. Just relaxing and writing and reading and napping and eating lots of food. (I guess that’s not really nothing … )

But! Yesterday Qwest I mean Century Link decided to kill my internet for over 8 hours! What’s a girl to do? I had some revising planned for the day, but I really wanted to get some notes off my email first. (And I don’t go to stores or stuff like that on Sundays, so I couldn’t go sit in Starbucks and leach off their free wi-fi.) So I read most of the day. Not a bad way to spend a day.

Anyhow! That’s why there was no post this morning. I know, I know, I TOTES could’ve written it yesterday then posted it today, but I didn’t even have the ability to post it till after work today.

And my book was really good.

Lots of stuff going on at Casa de Atkins this week, mainly Mr. Atkins’s birthday. The big THREE ZERO. My man’s all growed up.

AND I received my critique on my first assignment from my prof on Thursday and today the marked up manuscript arrived in the mail. She said many good things that made me so happy and proud of myself and want to keep writing forever! And she had even more great suggestions on ways to make the book better. I’m so excited to see where the semester takes me, and Audrey.

THISPOSTTOTALLYNEEDSAPICTURE! I’ve talked about my dogs a lot, so here they are. Yeah, they’re pretty adorable.

Ruby Tuesday

I may or may not have a lot of caffeine in my system. I just remembered I need to bake a cake for work tomorrow. And the Mr. has requested that we watch an episode of Pysch for his birthday celebrations. So adios, amigos.

“And my book was really good” is a legitimate excuse unless you have some important deadline.

Congrats on the feedback, and your dogs are so cute! Shiba Inus? I have a cat since I live in an apartment, but I am totally a dog person at heart.

It sure is! I have to ration my book reading time, or else it’s all I do!
Shiba inus are the cats of the dog world. They have some very cat-like characteristics–like cleaning themselves like cats do, their strong will and tendency to do whatever they want to do, their possessiveness. They’re pretty cute. :)
