Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. ~Anton Chekhov
As I finish my edits on my thesis (printing it out TONIGHT!!), this quote really speaks to me. I aim to look at the world in new ways, and then translate that onto the
page screen. So much easier said than done. I’ve been cutting boring descriptions and replacing them with more vivid ones (I hope!). And when you stumble onto that unique, yet true and beautiful passage, that captures something old and familiar in a fresh new way … that’s what writing is all about.
Wishing for that experience for all of y’all this month and always.
Keep it up!
